Install tingdo on your phone

tingdo is a web app. You can install it on your home screen and use it like a native app, with offline support, fast loading, and no app store needed.

What is a progressive web app?

A progressive web app, or PWA, is a website that can be installed on your phone's home screen. Once installed, it opens in its own window, without a browser bar, and works offline. It receives updates automatically. No app store download required, no storage limits, no update prompts. You open it and it works.

tingdo is built as a PWA. This means you can start using it in your browser right now, and whenever you are ready, install it to your home screen for a more native feel.

Install on Android

Works with Chrome, which is the default browser on most Android devices.

    Open tingdo in Chrome

    Go to web.tingdo.app in Chrome on your Android phone.

    Tap the browser menu

    Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner of Chrome.

    Tap 'Add to home screen' or 'Install app'

    Depending on your Chrome version, you will see one of these options. Tap it.

    Confirm the name

    Chrome will suggest 'tingdo' as the app name. Tap 'Add' or 'Install' to confirm.

    Done

    tingdo now appears on your home screen. Tap it to open, it launches in its own window, without the browser bar.

Install on iPhone and iPad

On iOS, you install PWAs through Safari. Other browsers like Chrome cannot install home screen apps on iOS.

    Open tingdo in Safari

    Go to web.tingdo.app in Safari on your iPhone or iPad.

    Tap the share button

    Tap the share icon at the bottom of the screen (the square with an upward arrow).

    Scroll down and tap 'Add to home screen'

    You may need to scroll down in the share menu to find this option.

    Confirm the name

    Safari will suggest 'tingdo' as the name. Tap 'Add' in the top right corner.

    Done

    tingdo now appears on your home screen. It opens in its own window, full screen, without Safari's address bar.

What changes after installing?

There is no difference in features between the browser version and the installed version. Installing tingdo is optional and only changes how it opens.

What about native apps?

Native Android and iOS apps are in development. When they are ready, they will be available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. In the meantime, the PWA gives you the full tingdo experience on your phone.
